X (Twitter) Video Downloader API
Give it a post URL and get the attached video, GIF or images back as direct URLs. GIFs on X are really short MP4 clips, and that is exactly what you receive — a video entry, not an animated image.

}Questions before you build
- Do GIFs come back as GIF files?
- No, and that is correct: X stores GIFs as short MP4 clips. You receive a video entry, which is also what you want for sendVideo or a web player.
- What about a post with four images?
- All four come back as image entries in medias[], in post order. The response shape does not change between one image and several.
- Do x.com and twitter.com both work?
- Yes, along with the fxtwitter.com and vxtwitter.com mirrors people paste from chat apps. They are normalised before the lookup.
